  1. What payment methods can I accept with MoneyBadger?

You can accept crypto payments from:

  • Bitcoin Lightning Network

  • Luno wallets

  • VALR wallets

  • Binance wallets

  1. What transactions are supported?

  • Debit transactions (DB) – Standard payments.

  • Refunds (RF) – With some important limitations (see Refunds section).

  1. What is the minimum refund amount?

Refunds (including partial refunds) can only be processed if the amount is R25 or more.

  1. What do I need from customers to process a refund?

Customers must provide their wallet refund address during the initial payment process.

  • If this address is not provided, the refund will fail with error code 800.100.195.

  • Make sure customers know this before completing payment.

  1. How is the refund amount calculated?

Refunds are based on the Rand (ZAR) price of the item at the time of purchase.

  • Peach Payments will convert this Rand value into crypto at the current exchange rate at the time of refund.

  • This means the crypto amount refunded may differ from the original crypto amount paid.
Example: A customer buys an item for R100, which at the time costs 0.00004 BTC.
    Later, they request a refund.
They will get back R100 worth of Bitcoin at the current exchange rate, which may be more or less than 0.00004 BTC depending on Bitcoin’s market value.

NOTE: Key tips for merchants

  • Inform customers about the R25 minimum refund limit.

  • Partial refund constraints - Once you do a partial refund, remaining amount must still be R25+ for future refunds to be possible.

  • Remind customers to provide their wallet refund address during payment.

  • Manage customer expectations about possible crypto value differences due to exchange rate changes.
