Masterpass Communication - Merchant Account Migration

Dear Valued Merchant,

We at Peach Payments hope you are doing well, and have had a great year of processing with us thus far.

Summary of The Below Information:

Compliance and regulatory changes passed down by Visa and Mastercard require some minor changes to be enacted by our merchants the swapping out of your Peach Payments API keys. This needs to be actioned before the 15th of January 2024, to avoid the incurrence of fines. The billing process is unaffected.

Please note that if you have received this mail, the below information is important and pertains to you:
In order to ensure the best possible level of service in all aspects, ranging from daily processing on your transactions, to the safety and compliance of said processing, we are always in communication with Visa and Mastercard. This will ensure that we are consistently up to date with the latest compliance and regulatory mandates.

One such mandate has been put forward regarding the Scan-To-Pay (Masterpass) Payment method, that has required us to implement security updates on the transaction calls made via this payment method.

These changes are being implemented on the backend by our team, but in doing so there is a need for some minor changes on your end as well regarding the credentials you have set. If you have received this mail, it means that we have identified that you make use of the Scan-To-Pay (Masterpass) payment method, and as a result, said minor changes are required on your end.

Why Do We Need To Update Our Credentials?

The changes that are being actioned on your account, require us to separate the sub-businesses identified under your singular merchant profile, into their own separate, unique merchant profiles. In doing so, this will generate new credentials for each separate business, which will in turn require you to update said credentials for each business.

Regrettably, this is unavoidable if we want to remain compliant and up to regulatory standards set out by the Schemes.

When Will We Receive These New Credentials?

The separation of the accounts into new unique merchant profiles, and by extension, the credentials that go with them, are currently being actioned by our Product Team, and should be available as early as the start of next week.

Will This Affect My Current Ability To Process Transactions?

No, the current existing credentials will not be switched off and normal processing can continue until you and your team find an appropriate time to switch the credentials out for the new ones. When you do plan to take action, please reach out to your Account Manager or our support team on support@peachpayments.com,  so as to inform the support team to keep an eye out for any potential issues that may arise. We have a specialist team that would be able to assist and solve for any concerns.

When Does This Need To Be Done By?

While we understand that you are possibly going into a code freeze now/towards the end of the year, it is paramount that we action these changes by no later than the 15th of January 2024. This is due to fines that will be issued to those that are not compliant thereafter. Please reach out to support@peachpayments.com and your account manager if you require assistance in getting these changes over the line.

How Will This Affect My Billing?

It will not. We will still send you one consolidated Invoice at the end of every month to ensure as little change from normality as possible.

What Do You Need To Do?

You will need to update the credentials on each of your stores with newly created credentials, which will be shared to you in a follow up email.

You may need to share this information with a technical team member or your development team, to action this. Please reach out to support@peachpayments.com for any assistance.

Thank you for taking the time to read through the above, we look forward to getting this over the line with you and continue successfully processing and growing your business together!

Kind Regards,
Your Peach Payments Team
