This guide is for all merchants who are settled directly by Peach Payments.

Once our Risk Team has approved your FICA documents and activated your account, you become eligible for our streamlined Next-Business-Day settlement process. This means faster access to your funds in a simple, predictable way.

The Daily Settlement Process

Instead of receiving multiple, individual deposits, you will get one consolidated deposit into your bank account each business day, covering the previous day's transactions.

The Settlement Notification Email

Following each deposit, you will receive an automated settlement email. This email provides a clear summary of your funds and contains:

  • The total amount that has been deposited into your bank account.
  • A high-level settlement summary which includes:
    • The transaction period covered.
    • A unique deposit reference for easy reconciliation.
    • A breakdown of debits, credits, and totals per payment method.
  • A clickable link to download your detailed settlement reconciliation file.
  • See below example of what to expect from us after being settled:

Accessing Your Reconciliation Files

You can access and download your detailed reconciliation files at any time via two convenient methods:

  1. Using the direct download link provided in your daily settlement email.
  2. Navigating to the Reporting > Settlements section in your Peach Payments Dashboard.

Important Settlement Timelines & Rules

Please keep the following standard settlement timelines and rules in mind:

  • Weekends

We do not process settlements on Saturdays or Sundays. On a Monday, you will receive a single, consolidated settlement for all transactions processed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

  • Public Holidays

Settlements are not processed on South African public holidays. On the following business day, you will be settled for the transactions due from both the public holiday and the previous day.

  • Inter-Bank Delays

Depending on your banking institution, there can occasionally be inter-bank processing delays. While funds will typically reflect on the same day, they may sometimes only appear in your account early the next morning.

  • Withheld or Delayed Payments

Our standard terms of settlement apply. In specific and rare circumstances, payments might be temporarily withheld or delayed. This is a standard security measure for reasons such as investigating suspected fraud, managing excessive chargeback disputes, addressing sudden and unusual spikes in transaction volumes, or for accounts with incomplete verification. These measures are essential for maintaining a secure payment environment for all our partners.
