In rare occasions, an EFT Secure payment shows as Aborted in the EFT Secure portal, while it was actually transferred from the customer's bank to the merchant's bank (and also showing on both customer's and merchant's statement)

In these cases the following likely happened:

  • The customer started an EFT Secure transaction that created the beneficiary in their internet banking

  • The customer logged out of their internet banking before fulfilling the payment, this closed the EFT Secure session

  • Later the customer logged in again and fulfilled the pending beneficiary

This doesn't update the Peach systems because the payment is not related to EFT Secure anymore.


To guarantee that this is the case, please check on your merchant's bank statement to see if you received the funds. If this is the case you can be sure that the transaction was successful and in this case please update your systems manually.
