Zeroauth Use cases

Modified on Fri, 13 Jun at 11:22 AM

Merchants who make use of R1.00 PAs are now required to instead make use of R0.00 PAs. This is referred to as Zeroauth and has been mandated by the card schemes.

Use cases for zeroauth include:

  • If your business makes use of a subscription or card storage model where you save a customer’s card for future use, the initial transaction to store the card can no longer be a R1.00 PA transaction. This transaction will now need to be a R0.00 PA.
  • If your business makes use of a flow where you first want to validate that a customers card is real and active by doing a R1.00 PA, you will now need to update this to a R0.00 PA.
