ACTION REQUIRED: CTPE.IO SSL-certificate switch upcoming

Follow

Dear customer,

Our ctpe.io LIVE server and our test.ctpe.io TEST server SSL-certificates will change in order to reflect the updated PCI regulations, now requiring a certificate key length of 2048 bit (instead of 1024 bit before). The new certificates will be valid until July 2015.

These SSL certificates are used to encrypt the communication to the ctpe.io XML processing interfaces https://ctpe.io or https://test.ctpe.io.

The new LIVE certificate will be installed during the LIVE system release on October 10th, 2012 at 05.00 UTC. The new TEST certificate will be installed on the TEST system already in the release on September 19th, 2012 at about 8.45 UTC.

As these updates will be performed during regular release updates, no extra maintenance window is required for this change.

ACTION REQUIRED for you:

If your technical setup requires the installation of the certificates locally (e.g. in a Java implementation with a local keystore, coldfusion, etc.), please make sure to install/add the new certificate before the dates mentioned above. Please contact your web technician if you are not sure.

Also please monitor your systems on the date of the switch.

IMPORTANT: Merchants using the certificate locally who do not install/add the new certificate before the switch will NOT be able to process transactions after the switch until the new certificate has been added!
